Air Navigation Services Provider of Sweden (LFV) establishes itself in Norway

The Air Navigation Services Provider of Sweden (LFV) is very interested in the Norwegian market for local air traffic services. Therefore, LFV established a Norwegian company, LFV Norway A/S, during the autumn. [10/26/2015]

Sweden First in the World with Remotely Operated Air Traffic Management

The first plane landed today using Remote Tower Services, a system developed by LFV (Swedish Air Navigation Services) and Saab.
As of today, the air traffic service at Örnsköldsvik Airport is operated using Remote Tower Service (RTS). Throughout the day, the first planes controlled from the LFV Remote Tower Centre in Sundsvall have been taking off and landing at Örnsköldsvik Airport. LFV and Saab have worked together to develop the operational and technological solutions for remotely operated air traffic management. [4/21/2015]

ICAO recognises LFV's environmental work

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has named LFV's VINGA project a 'best practice' case study from a global perspective.
"It is an honour, and ultimately represents proof that we in Sweden and LFV are at the forefront when it comes to the environment and aviation. I think the project demonstrated the strength of collaboration between industry players, and also the importance of involving all concerned – pilots, air traffic controllers and environmental authorities – as far as possible," says Niclas Wiklander who was the project manager for VINGA. Third Airport in Sweden to be Operated by Saab Remote Tower Solution

Defence and security company Saab, announces that Swedish Air Navigation Service Provider (LFV), will commission Saab Remote Tower solution at Linköping Airport, Sweden. This will be the third airport in Sweden implementing the pioneering Remote Tower solution. [3/10/2015]

LFV part of group to reform European airspace

The European Commission has appointed the SESAR Deployment Alliance to reform European aviation. This marks a big step in the modernisation of Europe's airspace. LFV is part of this group. "LFV will use its knowledge and experience to help increase the efficiency of Swedish and European aviation," says Niclas Gustavsson, head of business development and international relations at LFV.
