LFV managed a record number of aircraft movements in 2016
The air traffic year 2016 held records for flights in Sweden. LFV air traffic controllers handled 726,000 aircraft movements in Swedish airspace. This was an increase of 2% in comparison with 2015. At the same time, LFV reduced their costs and thus charges to airline companies for the third year in a row.

Ann Persson Grivas - new Director General of LFV
Ann Persson Grivas has been appointed as Director General of LFV by the Swedish Government. She comes from a position as Assistant Director General of Försäkringskassan in Sweden. Ann Persson Grivas will come on board April 1st, 2017.

Expanded Remote Tower Center inaugurated
Infrastructure Minister Anna Johansson inaugurated the new extension of LFV's Remote Tower Center in Sundsvall last week. The extension provides the capacity to manage air traffic remotely at even more airports.
