The Ecologistic Award was established by Arlanda Logistic Network to highlight and reward ”important and innovative ecological activities conducted by two or more parties within the Arlanda area”.
This year the award has been presented to LFV/SAS for their cooperation regarding Green Approaches.
-It is wonderful and motivational that LFV together with SAS have been awarded this prize, especially in tough competition with other eco projects, says Fredrik Lindblom, ANS Development in Norrköping.
-In environmental debates, air travel is under pressure, but this award shows the areas that we are concentrating on are important and our focus is good for the environment. It also proves that working with customers, and in this case particularly with SAS, is important and has great significance if we are to achieve success, says Fredrik.
Five cooperations were nominated for the award and three of these went forward to the final which was won by LFV/SAS where the prize was a 20 kg challenge trophy in the form of a catalytic converter.
-For LFV this means a continuation of the “predetermined” road of implementing Green Approaches so that both we and our customers can benefit from the environmental advantages. All of us working in RAMP and Green Flights are now highly motivated to continue to work towards our goals, says Fredrik Lindblom.
Fredrik is also keen to highlight the cooperation.
-The credit for this award goes to all the people who have worked with this since the beginning of 2006 which initially involved, amongst other things, flight tests which are today called “Green Approaches” and implemented by 10% of all traffic at Arlanda Airport.
