  • The LFV Group and Saab awarded prize for remote air traffic control

    LFV Air Traffic Control, together with Saab, have received an award for their joint efforts in developing technology and methodology which allows for remote air traffic control at smaller airports. During a ceremony in Amsterdam they accepted the Innovation Award.
  • Australia signs collaboration agreement with LFV

    Greg Russell from Airservices Australia and Thomas Allard, LFV, last Wednesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding covering the development, in cooperation with Saab, of technology and uses for Remotely Operated Towers. This collaboration is the fruit of long discussions on the challenges facing ATM in the years to come.
  • Marked increase in February

    During February the total number of passengers at LFV airports increased by 5% compared with the same month in 2009. International passenger numbers were up 3% and domestic 7%.
  • Continued slow recovery

    During January 2010 the total number of passengers at LFV Airports was 1.9 million which is a small increase compared with the same month last year. International numbers increased by one percent to 1.1 million passengers whilst domestic remained the same as last year at 0.8 million.

    The total number of passengers at LFV Airports during 2009 was 27.1 million, which is a 10% decrease compared with 2008. International passenger numbers were down by 10% to 15.8 million while domestic decreased by 11% to 11.3 million passengers.

    The total number of passenger at LFV Airports during the month of November was 2.3 million, which is a small increase compared with the same month in 2008. Domestic increased by two percent to 1.1 million while international decreased by one percent to 1.2 million passengers.

    LFV´s revenue for the first nine months of the year was MSEK 151, which is a drastic deterioration compared with the same period last year which saw revenues of MSEK 516. Passenger numbers dropped by 13%.

    Arlanda Energi, a unit of LFV, has been awarded the 2009 Swedish Energy Prize for its business model, which takes an integrated approach to the airport’s energy issues.
  • LFV’s traffic statistics – down 9% in October

    The total number of passengers using LFV airports was 2.5 million during October. This is a decrease of 9% compared with the same month the previous year. International passenger numbers were down 8% to 1.4 million passengers and domestic 9 % to 1.1 million.

    The number of passengers at LFV Airports decreased by 11% during September compared with the same month 2008. International numbers were down 12% and domestic 9%.
