Major environmental benefits with new aviation methods
The “Vinga” environmental project at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is completed. A one-year project, 178 curved approaches, shortened approach paths and less noise disturbance describe the project in brief. The conclusion is that among the aviation methods existing today, the one used in the Vinga project is one of the most effective for reducing emissions from aircraft.

Aviation slows down after a strong year
Air traffic in Swedish airspace is still on the increase despite growth figures showing a decline. This is demonstrated by the statistics for November 2011 which show an increase of 4 per cent in flight traffic compared to November 2010. “Despite a relatively clear increase which will most probably continue throughout December, there are numerous indications of a slowing down in traffic growth ,” says Lars Ahlm, Business Analyst at LFV.
